HoseWarehouse.com and BeltSmart.com sell industrial hose, tools and accessories at wholesale prices in the USA. Both are subsidiaries of Murdock Industrial based in Akron, Ohio.
Shopping ad data quality makes a huge difference in a saturated market. Optimizing and cleaning product ad data was a priority for Tony to keep his ads competitive with established competitors. Managing tens of thousands of SKUs was simply too time-consuming and foreign to the internal team so Tony engaged Austin to begin re-creating a more manageable and organized shopping feed.
With a more advanced product data feed system, Austin was able to increase the number of products eligible for advertising, more accurately quote shipping rates in Shopping Ads, and add much-needed MPN and SKU data across the entire product catalog.
Improvements to product feeds led to increased free Google Shopping traffic, but more importantly to substantial paid revenue growth. After completing the product feed overhaul, Tony asked Austin to revamp search and shopping ads for both stores, supporting additional growth already fueled by improved website improvements.
Between 2019 and 2020, sales growth in both stores was nearly 200% year over year, while ads costs increased far less.
